I went through a similar situation in a meat market last month. When I approached an employee he said, "What can I get for you, fried chicken"?. When I said no, he said,"Isn't that what you eat every night". He thought it was a joke but I did not find it funny. Race was seen here. When you are left with unanswered questions then that is where stereotypes come from.
